Human Resource
Our Human Resources department is accountable for the aptitude of all shore-based employees in the areas of education, training, skills and experience. Implementing corporate policies and strategies, maintaining accurate records and employee information are also an important service this group provides. Human Resources is charged with developing new and exciting ways to recruit future seafarers and working with Marine Educational Institutions to attract the best cadets.
Operations
The Operations Department is responsible for the safe and efficient operation, technical management, and crewing of the fleet. This also includes supply chain support. All this must be done within the framework of rules and regulations and company policies and procedures, while satisfying commercial commitments. Our operations team is made up of four functions; Crewing, Dispatch, Procurement and Warehousing.
Commercial
Our commercial department is made up of a team of individuals who are focused on meeting the needs of our customers, the utilization of Atlantic Towing’s fleet, and maximizing profitability. This includes identifying business development opportunities, addressing customer expectations, coordinating charter negotiations and preparing and presenting tender packages.
Crewing
Crewing plays a key role in the function of the Operations Department. This team is responsible for ensuring that all vessels are staffed with properly certified, efficiently trained and medically fit seafarers. Negotiating contracts and preparing and monitoring budgets are an important part of the Crewing Department role.
Dispatch
Our Dispatching department is always busy scheduling the next job for our seafaring staff. They ensure accurate and efficient scheduling of all tug operations, as well as dispatching of vessels for all ports. Communication with the fleet, including safety alerts, plays a very important role in the day-to-day function of the Dispatching Team.
Finance
An exciting career in our Finance department would include the preparation of financial reports and the execution of financial plans and budgets. Financial analysis and reporting, as well as monitoring of the annual operating budgets are key functions of our Finance Team.
