Wherever and whenever possible we provide access and funding to employees who want to gain additional skills and experience so ATL can continue to grow as an industry leader in marine services.
With a specialized training program established in cooperation with Holland College in PEI, ATL employees are trained to the highest levels using state-of-the-art simulation technology to develop the skills necessary for world class tug operations.
We also involve home-based harbour pilots in our vessel escort training so our crew and their partners will work efficiently and effectively as a team.
All seafaring positions at Atlantic Towing Limited (ATL) require a Transport Canada Certificate of Competency, a valid seafarer’s medical, and STCW endorsement.
